The Coping Foot attachment allows for free-style angle adjustment cutting while still supporting the blade at the kerf.  Best used when holding the saw by the barrel with blade facing up, you can carve complex and intricate winding cuts with precision.  The dome shape foot allows the saw to roll along the material and get into tight corners making it easy to cut out shapes such as sink insets against a back-splash. Any big scribing job is much easier with a Coping Foot because you can back bevel at will without making any adjustments to an adjustment screw. Finish carpenters use the jig saw mostly for back beveling irregular lines, and so the Coping Foot becomes the ideal base for the jig saw.  Made of 14 gauge plated steel it is a durable and versatile addition to the Festool Carvex Jigsaw for fine craftsmanship.
